In acknowledgement of the 10th anniversary of Solar Power World’s Top Solar Contractors list, the editorial team produced four new individual award categories we call the Top Solar Champions awards. These special awards highlight four individuals working at Top Solar Contractor companies who have gone the extra mile in their jobs and solar advocacy efforts. The Top Solar Champions awards return for 2023!

The four awards are as follows:

Top Solar Advocate – An individual who helped move the needle on local, state or national solar policy efforts.

Top Solar Installer – An individual who goes above and beyond to ensure superior customer satisfaction in physical installations.

Top Solar Designer – An individual who navigated major hurdles to get a recent solar system sold, designed and approved.

Top Solar Changemaker – An individual who worked to increase solar jobs and installation access to underrepresented populations and/or made a significant difference in their community in regards to solar education and acceptance.

Anyone can nominate an individual for these awards, as long as the nominated person works at a company listed on the 2023 Top Solar Contractors list. Nominators must provide us with the person’s name and the reason why they deserve the award. Cited examples of how the individual meets the award qualification are encouraged.
