Operations have commenced at the 168-MW Coniglio Solar Project in Fannin County, Texas.
The Coniglio project comprises 404,712 Q.PEAK DUO L-G8.2 415W solar modules, supplied by Q CELLS America and 42 inverters. The facility is interconnected in the North ERCOT load zone and is the largest project in Q CELLS’ operating portfolio to date in the U.S.
The project was acquired mid-development in February 2020, and the Q CELLS team completed the work on financing, interconnection, land, revenue contracting, engineering and procurement. Construction of the project commenced in June 2020 and mechanical completion was reached in June 2021.
“The Coniglio Solar Project is well-sited, and there is a growing need for power in the ERCOT market,” said Dave Kirkwood, Tenaska senior VP of finance.
News item from Q CELLS
I would love to find out more about the Coniglio power station in Wolfe City, Texas. There has been no information I am aware of regarding this station. How much power does it produce? How much bio fuels can it replace? How long will it generate electricity? How much did it cost to build? Pros and any cons, etc. Are more stations being built? Can animals graze underneath panels, etc. I’m very curious about any progress in this area.
