I believe this is the kind of invaluable information folks need to make decisions on how to spend their money, where to spend their money, what advantages spending this money does for them personally. The energy efficiency programs do need firming up and partnership with regional electric utillities if one is to meet some mandate like decarbonization of the grid by 2035. Things like the pundit of “saving” current online LWR nuclear plants, yet, giving little concern for the “long game” of energy density and energy generation to promote the design, manufacture and application of SMR (Small Modular Reactors) and it seems long ago the MSR (Molten Salt Reactor) was actually proven to be effective and efficient but was pushed aside to build Gigawatt Light Water Reactors. The inefficient centralized uni-directional grid is a dead horse being flogged into the future. This old system does not support efficiency, robust (hardened) local and regional grid capability or proper decarbonization, short term or long term.
