Thomas Reilly, if that is really your name, how can 3 local companies say the failure rate is high on hot days if the IQ8 had only been released in Dec 2021 and your post is on May 1, 2022? It sounds like you work for competitor and are afraid because you have nothing to match Enphase system. And I don’t work for Enphase. I am just shopping around and saw this apparent BS I had to respond to.

I specifically asked for quotes for the Enphase IQ8 microinverters and three local companies discourage me from using the Enphase IQ8 because of failures they have seen in the area. Evidently when we have hot days between 155 to 120 degrees the failure rate is very high compared to Solar Edge power optimizers. I looked at the MAX Operating temps and what they are saying looks reasonable. Power optimizers and power-converter come with 25year warrantees.
We live in Gilbert AZ and we get several weeks with temp above 155 -120 each year. Can much if anything can we expect the microinverters to degrade when operating these type of days?
